County Championships


The County Championships for age group swimmers aged 10 and over and are held over several weekends in January and February. Entry times (which must be achieved in a licenced competition during the previous year) are challenging and getting into the Championships is an achievement in itself.

Swimmers have the chance to test themselves against the best swimmers in the county. Points are awarded for positions in each event entered. Participating in the County Championships is the main route into the Nova squad.

Below are the entry forms and other information for the 2017 County Championships.

If you wish to enter Counties but have not yet received a form, please download one from here, complete it and return with payment. Please note there are separate forms for boys, girls and disability entries.

You just need to tick the events you want to enter. Entry Times are not needed on this form as all entry times must come from the National Rankings database, if you do not have a time for an event in the national rankings database you will not be able to enter the event. Please check the full schedule document and qualifying times document for full entry criteria.

Please take entries to the Tuesday Desk or post in the Bramcote post box on the notice board at Bramcote Leisure Centre, making Cheques payable to: Bramcote SC Ltd

Please note entries must reach the Tuesday Desk at Bramcote by 20/12/2016 at the very latest.

If you gain a qualifying time for an event at an open meet after you have handed in your entry form and wish this to be added to your county entry please e-mail before 20/12/2016 as this will be the final cut off for entries to the County Championships 2017.

Midland Championships

Bramcote Swimming Club has an increasing number of swimmers who qualify for the Midlands (Regional) championships each year. Success in these championships supports progression through the Nova Centurion Squad system and potential National Championships qualifying.
